ABOUT VINTAGE VIEWS of Rensselaer,Indiana
In April of 2005, Mike Campbell of Campbell Printing, conceived the idea of preserving the history of the Rensselaer area through a retrospective magazine.
Sadly, after publishing the first twenty issues of "Vintage Views", Mike Campbell, the creator, publisher, and heart & soul of this publication, passed away on Tuesday morning October 30, 2012 at the age of 53.
He will be missed by many.
But his vision of "Vintage Views" shall keep going.

1959 - 2012
"Rest in Peace Mike..."
Much of the research had been done by Campbell himself who chose subjects he felt were of interest to the community as a whole.
His approach was to steer away from family genealogy and "what the old timers used to say", with the main criteria of "Vintage Views" to include people and occurrences of state or national interest within what is now the Rensselaer Central school district.
Campbell felt there was no better way to promote a community than through it's historical organizations.
"People are becoming more and more interested in learning about the past influences that have made their city great.
It's all about community pride".
